Purchased Parts
It is thought as an item by a form of logistics (e.g., manufactured items and subcontract goods), and refers to all items (including products, parts, and raw materials) which are procured by other companies. Whether or not the specifications are provided to suppliers tells you whether they are purchased parts or subcontract goods. That means items with no drawing sheets provided, like goods on the market, are called purchased parts. The order for such items generated by MRP is called Purchasing Order, and it is issued after the supplier and the price unit is determined in the Purchasing Planning function.
