Engineering Bill of Materials

Bill of Materials is usually created through the processes of function engineering by the engineering division and production engineering by the production division. The Bill of Materials created by the engineering division is called Engineering Bill of Materials, in which the basic data is function and quality and processing ways and procedures are not usually considered very much. But, the concept of engineering has been expanding recently. While the stabilization of production and quality is improved, the efficiency of production-wide activities including the proper understanding of customers' needs and assistance of new product's planning is crucial. Since customers' needs have diversified and demands for quick-delivery production have increased, less importance has gradually been placed on production engineering such as mass production. Therefore it is needed to unify function and production engineerings and to engineer them in a same group or in a project form so that the flexible and speedy engineering is possible.
