Indented Bill of Materials
It is a bill of materials to show the lower-level items of the specified item by level according to the structure, and is used for the engineering of the similar products, the consideration of the production improvement or the product cost, and the planning of the product manufacturing, and etc. In the example shown in the figure, when Item X is specified, its Child Item a is first displayed, next the Child Item "イ" of Item a is displayed. In this way, in the Indented Bill of Materials, each item is displayed by level according to the structure of specified item. The method of Indented Explosion is used to create Indented Bill of Materials, where the bill of materials showing a structure is searched level by level from top (product) to bottom (materials). The number of level is used to show a bill of materials.
