Process Subcontract
An item is not always produced through single process. It is common that it is produced through a number of processes. Process Subcontract refers to, as the figure shows, subcontracting the work of a certain process among several processes. A company subcontracts the work as a temporary measure when its machine or equipment doesn't work due to failure or maintenance, or an excessive load over the capacity of process occurs. If a Process Subcontract is always required, It is common to set an item number to it to perform the planning and control operations as Item Subcontract.
