Order Timing Damper
It is a method of damper to reduce the influence of change so that MRP system would not re-plan in response to small change in delivery. In this method, when the delivery date of order is changed to "around the date", the change is not reflected to the plan and it is not rescheduled. This system enables the functions of MRP, which are sensitive to even small changes, to be restricted. Generally MRP re-plans in response to the change to expedite delivery in order to prevent delayed delivery or missing goods. Meanwhile, it doesn't re-plan in response to de-expedite delivery as long as no goods are missed and there is no problem with its capacity.
