Quantity Change Damper
It is a method of damper to reduce the influence of change so that MRP system would not re-plan in response to small change in quantity. In this method, when the quantity of order is changed and the difference from the privious quantity is within the pre-defined quantity, the change is not reflected to the plan and it is not rescheduled. Generally the dumper is set as follows: when the quantity is to be increased, rescheduling is performed even for the change in small quantity, while when it is to be decreased, rescheduling is not performed as long as it is a small change.
