Job Production
Thinking of production scheme from the aspect of production continuity, the scheme to install general-purpose machine and equipment allowing partly different products to produce, and produce them individually according to the received orders is called Job Production. Generally this scheme can be also said to be make-to-order production looking at it from the standpoint of when the order is received, while it is high-mix low-volume production when looking from the standpoint of the product's type and quantity. In this system, the products are delivered after receiving individual orders, deciding their specifications, individually producing the products different depending on customer request. Thus it is relatively possible to make responses to customer's requests about the quantity and product type, while it is difficult to make the work flow smoother and improve the productivity. Therefore it is required for the on-site manager and workers to have high level of ability in administration and producing technology.
