Standard Capacity
It is the ability that a process can do something, and is generally expressed by "hour". The standard capacity is set according to the machine's ability (machine capacity) or human's ability (human capacity) in a process. The machine capacity can be obtained by multiplying the number of machine set in a process by the machine's standard operating hour per day, while the human capacity can be obtained by multiplying the number of workers in a process by the worker's standard operating hour per day.
Depending on the situation, either machine capacity or human capacity can be a restriction, and the process capacity with the restriction included is set as a standard capacity. When the number of machine, facility, and metallic mold tool is limited, for example, the machine capacity is a restriction and set as a standard capacity. In the process which is usually performed mainly by manual labor, like the assembling process, or the process requiring skilled workers, the human capacity is usually a restriction and set as a standard capacity.
