Line
It is a form of facility setup, and refers to the process or shop which, when the work (job) has the same operating time in each machine/facility, is set up based on the flow. This is useful to the repeated production which has the fixed job flow and a large quantity of production. In this case, it is hardly necessary to control the flow in a shop, while it is more difficult to respond to the diversification of product. The cycle time for input is the same as each operation time, and a job is completed in descending order of job input.
